LeBron James has never shied away from offering his two cents on the issues plaguing America. With Charlottesville, Virginia, in the news following violent, racially-charged protests in the area, The King of the NBA is once again joining the conversation.
James appeared to take a shot at President Donald Trump and his “Make America Great Again” slogan on Twitter on Saturday evening when expressing his sadness over the events that transpired earlier in the day.
At the 2016 ESPY Awards, James, along with fellow NBAers Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul, called for athletes to renounce violence in the country, and use their platforms to help influence change.
